When Amanda Clark comes to Tascosa and starts a restaurant, the novelty of a pretty new (and single) woman attracts potential suitors galore. Amanda decides she likes Nate Bradford more than any of the others.
Not that this stops Brian McLeod from deciding that she will be his, come hell or high water.
That's the plot for this Old West historical romance.
My one gripe about this novel (and it cost the rating a full star) is that Brian's character seemed entirely two-dimensional. No one is all good or all bad, and Brian just felt like a cardboard cut-out of a "bad guy" to me.
An entertaining read, nevertheless.
