The Rose Garden

The Rose Garden - Susanna Kearsley, Nicola Barber I admit, I found this one a little hard to follow. I'm not sure how much of it was that I was listening to it at work, but there it is.Eva Ward returns to her family's Cornwall home after a beloved aunt dies. She wants to take her aunt's cremains there to spread them on the land she loved. While Eva is there, she begins to hear voices in the house ... and eventually discovers a literal pathway to the past. There, she meets residents of the area during the pre-Georgian era (1715) and becomes embroiled in various plots there.Of course, she's constantly be jerked back to the present by one thing or another, and her disappearances are duly noted during both time periods.I enjoyed it well enough, but may need to listen to it again to fill in some gaps.
