Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea

Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea - Jules Verne, Victoria Blake I have been making it my business to read as many of Jules Verne's books as possible. As much as I loved the film based on "20,000 Leagues," I found the book decidedly dry and not especially entertaining. It reads more like a Victorian marine biology text -- replete with taxonomy errors, such as referring to a squid as a cuttlefish.I wish I could say that I enjoyed this as much as I did Around the World in Eighty Days, but it was just not my cup of tea.
