The Absinthe Cloud

The Absinthe Cloud - Timothy Everhart When young Patrick Dupuy saves Veronique Deschamps' life during the bombing of a Paris cafe, he enters a completely unexpected world.Set in Paris, in the year 1900, "The Absinthe Cloud" takes us along with Dupuy through a city rife with anarchist plots, secret societies and political machinations of all sorts.Everhart's prose was occasionally a little turgid, but the plot kept my interest from beginning to end. There were many twists and turns, and the book was filled with well-drawn, multi-dimensional characters. It's kind of hard to review this book without delivering spoilers, to be honest. Those who enjoy a little political thriller with their historical fiction will truly enjoy this book.
