This is a cute novella about two people who are trying to hide something from their friends. In Justin's case, it's his unfashionable fondness for the novels of Jane Austen, particularly "Pride and Prejudice." In Clara's case, it's her financial acumen and intelligence. Her favorite book? Also "Pride and Prejudice."The two young people meet at the subscription library and find that they have more than just the book in common. One of the things I enjoyed about this book is that it was not just about the life of the ton during the Regency era. Justin works as a bank clerk and Clara is a Miss, not even an Honorable. It was nice to see an author show an interest in the every-day folk of the period.I found the book charming and entertaining.
