He goes to the Emerald City to seek asylum, just as General Jinjur and her army of girls stage a coup against the Scarecrow, who is now ruling Oz. Along the way, they also meet the Woggle-Bug and add him to their crew.Scarecrow and company seek out the assistance of the Tin Woodsman, ruler of the Winkies, and Glinda the Good Witch of the South so that they can restore the Scarecrow to his throne and also defeat Mambi, who has joined forces with General Jinjur.Entertaining, with colorful characters and events. I had not read more than the first Oz book before now, and will be adding more to my library.
