I have enjoyed all of the Clare Fergusson/Russ Van Alstyne mysteries. In this one, the Episcopal minister and her beloved town police chief (the romantic tension between the two is palpable in the books, although various matters keep them apart) stumble across Latino gang activity in their little upstate New York village. There are corpses and drug money popping up all over the place, and every time a matter seems to be resolved some other issue arises. When the Latino boy Clare hires to clean the rectory disappears, matters come to a head. These are entertaining books for those who like their suspense on the not-too-graphic side.
